PA R.E.M. Series
This series reflects the imagery assimilated from my living in Germany and traveling in Europe and abroad for many years fused with the new visual stimuli experienced upon my return to Pennsylvania. My daytime imaginings and nighttime dreams take form on the flat surface to come alive through the spatial tension created by varied color intensities and temperatures applied to form the abstractions.

South African Colors
These works are a color journal of my observations based on my travels through South Africa. They reflect the beauty of the diverse landscapes of the countryside and urban areas. I was struck by the complex geometrics formed by the shelters that sprung up outside the cities, constructed of corrugated metals, wood and other materials. They have a patchwork quality of vibrant random colors.

Scotland / Woven Colours
Inspiration comes in many forms; this series of watercolors and linoleum prints is rooted in the breathtaking beauty of the Scottish Highlands, the stirring sound of bagpipes and the vivid colors of tartan plaids. The paints are applied to paper in a similar fashion yarn or thread would be woven to make fabric, striving to keep clarity and luminosity while layering the colors into plaids.

German Abstractions
Landscapes are in a perpetual state of flux, constantly changing and moving whether we perceive it or not. The land can be still, peaceful, and tranquil one moment only to morph into instant chaos with wind, storms, and erosion. These fleeting moments witnessed in the rugged Alpine terrain and the incandescent Bavarian light with their inherent wild variations in hue and movements influence me to express my inner landscapes.
